WHO: Princess Luluko and Suzaku
WHAT: While in Geneva with her mother and sister, Luluko wants to visit the lakes and of course, needs some security with her.
RATING: PG-13

The Princess was sitting in the gardens of the estate that had been loaned to the use of the vi Britannia family whilst on their stay in Geneva and looking out over the grounds. She had very much enjoyed being away from the Palace, getting to see another country again and being able to spend time with her mother and sister without the usual crowd of staff around them. One thing that was a real downside to being a member of the royalty was getting little time to themselves.

She became aware of another presence in the area of the gardens she had ensconsed herself in and looked up, only to see Suzaku walking towards her. She smiled at him softly and moved over on the bench to allow him to sit beside her.

"Mother send you to guard me?" she asked, a wry smile tipping the corners of her mouth.

"Actually she did, Your Highness" Suzaku confirmed and nodded.

"I'm perfectly safe here, I do not need a guard," she said, a long-suffering sigh leaving her lips that had now shifted into more of a pout than a smile.

"I am sorry, I will leave you in peace, Your Highness," Suzaku said, scrambling up and stepping away from her.

"Don't go?" she looked up at him and saw confusion pass across his face. "I do not need a guard, but I would like to enjoy the view with a friend."

A hesitation, a look of worry and then he sat beside her again and looked out over the view.

"It is really pretty up here," he said quietly and Luluko had an idea.

"So let us visit it, come on," she stood and held out a lace-gloved hand to his. He didn't take it and she laughed, grabbing his anyway and coaxing him to his feet. "My Mother ordered you to stay with me? So stay with me."

With that, she let go of his hand and turned on her heel, lifting the hem of her long dress a little and walking towards the hills and lakes she could see. After a few moments of silence, footsteps caught up to her and she knew Suzaku was behind her.

"I can't let you go out there, Princess," he protested.

"Nonsense. If you try to, I will be forced to pull rank on you and it will all be very boring. You are following the Empress' orders and I am merely taking a walk - it is good for my health." That was that, she knew he'd not try to dissuade her any more.

Her health was not considered fantastic, even though she seemed healthy, she appeared to have a weak constitution at times. She was very unfit and could not even hope to keep up with her athletic sister in anything; but instead, she had been gifted with a mind that shone bright enough to put almost everyone else to shade when faced with it.

She was not bothered at all by her lack of athleticism, not since Jeremiah had joined her Mother's staff anyway. She always felt safe and cared for and that had only increased now Suzaku was around more often.

After they had gone a little way, Luluko came out in front of a scenic little lake and she peered into the glassy surface with interest. This was such a beautiful and serene spot, it was nice to get away from the pace of Pendragon for a while.

"Isn't it beautiful, Suzaku?" she breathed and turned to look at him, expression happy and face aglow with the excitement. She saw him swallow and wondered why, a tiny bubble of hope rising inside of her and she tried to squash it down. Her fancies were running away with her. Nunnally had had her read too many fairy tales aloud apparently.

"It is, Princess," he replied and bowed his head.

She stepped forward and prodded him in the chest with her perfectly manicured nails she had spent the morning working on out of boredom.

"Just call me Lulu, silly," she demanded of him and looked directly into his eyes.

Suzaku flushed a very deep red and Luluko's heart fluttered again until she allowed logic back in. He was just embarrassed by her informality, not by anything else. She needed to stop being silly. She was a Princess of Britannia and he was an Honorary Britannian soldier. Even if it was allowed, he'd confess to Euphemia anyway. No point getting all silly over such a trifling, passing crush.

"Yes, Yo- I mean, yes, Luluko," he stammered out, ears burning red.

Well, it was better than an honorific, but she'd have to keep working him looser until he could simply call her Lulu.

As far as she was concerned, that day could not come soon enough.
