· Britannian · Younger sister to Cornelia li Britannia · Very close to Luluko and Nunnally as children · The first to befriend Suzaku and the other honorary squad members · Has an unrequited love for Suzaku

Euphemia was born to one of the more influential and prosperous wives of Charles di Britannia, so despite being one of the younger of his children, she has the rank of third princess.
She grew up very much coddled by her elder sister, Cornelia and still has a very sheltered and naïve view of life.
Her mother died fairly young and left the young princesses alone. Cornelia chose to enter the army and began Knightmare Frame training, but with Euphemia being eleven years her junior, she could not follow. Instead, she was entrusted to the care of Cornelia's favourite of Charles' consorts - the young Marianne vi Britannia.
Euphemia grew up either in Cornelia's home or in Marianne's and enjoyed life between the two. When she was at the Aries Palace with Marianne, she played with her own two daughters, Luluko and Nunnally and they often had many of the other royal children visit as Marianne was well loved by the children (if shunned by the rest of the wives) and so Euphemia was always kept busy. At Cornelia's palace, Euphemia got anything she wanted. Her wish was command and so when there she never lacked for any whim, no matter how small.
Luluko and Euphemia had always been thick as thieves but they started to drift apart a little when Schneizel el Britannia started to pay visits to Marianne. Luluko had convinced Schneizel to teach her how to play chess, enthralled by his performance one day and Euphemia found herself without a partner in crime.
Losing Luluko to the chessboard and Schneizel had a profound effect on her and she started to spend more time with Nunnally or at her sister's palace.
Life continued on and the war in Japan started; soon being absorbed into Britannia as "Area 11". Euphemia paid it no mind at all until Cornelia came home and informed her that she had to go to Area 11 and that she wanted Euphemia to go with her. Jumping at the chance to be with her sister, she accepted and discovered that Clovis, Carine, Luluko, Nunnally and Schneizel were all going to go as well.
Viewing it as an excuse for a fun holiday, Euphemia got on the plane and played dolls with Nunnally and Carine while Clovis continually lost to Luluko at the chessboard and the elder two just sat and watched with amused expressions...until Carine beheaded Nunnally's doll and Luluko slapped her.
No matter what Euphemia did, Carine stayed away from the others and she found herself confused - she wasn't used to all the half-siblings fighting.
They landed in Area 11 and were told they would be taking a tour of the local military facility. Euphemia got excited by the idea, thinking she could learn more and maybe follow her sister into the army. They toured the facility and were presented to the newly-created Honorary Squad. Euphemia was excited to meet people who had been born off of the mainland and hear stories of far-off places from her sheltered life in the palaces. She looked upon the eleven boys and decided she wanted to befriend them, eyes alighting over the last in line. She wasn't sure why, but she felt that she wanted to be friends with this boy especially.
Carine then lost her temper and threw her shoe at the group, calling them 'filth' and other such names and Euphemia saw the shoe strike that boy. She didn't see Nunnally get knocked to the ground at first or Luluko rushing to her fallen sister's aid but instead ran forward and spread her arms in front of the boy to defend him. Glaring at Carine, she then saw the boy edge past her and offer Luluko a bandage for Nunnally's hurt knee.
After the ruckus there, they were taken back to the place they were staying and Euphemia noticed Carine becoming less and less interested in speaking to the others, instead complaining more that she wanted to go back home. Euphemia tried to play with Clovis, but he had just started painting a picture of Luluko and was busy. Instead, she got the notion in her head to accompany Cornelia to the base again and make friends with the boys there as her siblings didn't want to play with her. After some cajoling on her part, she got her wish and was taken to meet them properly.
She quickly made friends with the boys after getting over their initial fear of being around a princess and spent many days there. She became very close with the Eleven, Kururugi Suzaku, asking him lots of questions about his homeland and answering his questions about her own. She didn't notice for a very long time that he seemed to ask a lot of questions about Luluko, Nunnally and Marianne.
After a couple of happy months with the boys, the Royals went back to Pendragon and she found herself back at home with only her siblings or maids to talk to. She devised a plan to get the boy's training schedules relocated to a base just outside of Pendragon itself so she could see them again. Using her influence over Cornelia as leverage, she got the plans approved and the Squad was transferred locally.
Once again, she was a permanent fixture at the base and spent less and less time at Aries Palace. Interested by what was occupying Euphemia, Nunnally contacted her and said she wanted to come along as well. Upon learning Nunnally was going, Luluko instantly agreed to go as well to keep an eye on her beloved sister. The three went down and Euphemia introduced them much more informally than they had the last time they'd seen them. Euphemia and Nunnally had a lot of fun and she did not notice for a while that both Luluko and Suzaku had gone missing. When she did, she felt a little annoyed at her elder sister for coming as well and taking Suzaku from her. It was the first time she'd ever felt a jealousy like that and she hoped Luluko would not come again.
She did, however and Euphemia started to notice that when she did not go, Suzaku would ask after her in particular. She started to suspect that the two might like each other and found herself more determined to spend time with him without Luluko around. Her plans didn't work out this time as they were deployed on a mission and were away for three months. When the group were due to come back, Cornelia was away so Euphemia was staying with Marianne and her daughters. Convincing Marianne to throw a 'welcome home' party for the squad, she had a lot of fun planning with Nunnally whilst Luluko busied herself drawing up new security plans for the party as it was so unprecedented.
Euphemia found she had a real knack for organising parties but she left the technical details up to Luluko while she arranged the food and the way the room and balcony would be dressed for the event.
When they came back, she managed to whisk Suzaku away onto the balcony and spent most of the evening out there, talking with him.
He went back into the service and Euphemia expressed an interest in taking a job within the military doing paperwork to back up the squads. Cornelia shot this down and started to make her stay in the palace more often and not visit the compund as much.
The time came for the girls to choose their Knights and Euphemia had her heart set on asking Suzaku and was crushed when Luluko outwitted her and asked him first, using Cornelia to block her sister.
Afterwards, Euphemia had a row with her elder sister who told her to start behaving herself instead of disgracing their name over a Number and assigned her Anya Alstreim. Euphemia resented this but set out anyway to try to have Suzaku fall in love with her so that she could 'steal him back'.
Her nature however prevented her from really going all out for him as she did still feel for her sister Luluko and when Luluko fell pregnant she knew she'd lost out.
While her feelings never subsided, she visited them in Area Eleven but soon came home and started dedicating herself to trying to move on from Suzaku, relying a lot on Anya to keep her company. Cornelia is currently looking out for a "suitable" suitor for her.
